Q: What are the minimum hardware requirements for the PC?

A: The PC should have a CPU with 233 MHz, a main memory of 32 MB and free

     Disk space of 100 Mb.

Q: What are the operating system requirements for the PC?

A:  NMRArchive run's under Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

     Using Windows NT 4.0 the Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher as to be installed.

     Windows 2000 or XP has it automatically installed.

Q: How can I install NMRArchive?

A:  NMRArchive comes as a self-extracting zip file. Double click on it unpacked it

     in the folder C:\NMRArchive. Double click on setup.exe in this folder starts the

     installation of NMRArchive.   

Q: Which additional software do I need for customer specific data transfer?

A: For customer specific data transfer via local area network I don’t know additional

Software. Using e-mail for the data transfer I need WinZip 7.0 including WinZip

and a special patch for the command line extension of WinZip, which one can download from the www.mrr.com homepage.

Q: If  I use customer specific data transfer via how knows the customer that the data

     has arrived ?

A: One can choice an option that NMRArchive sends an e-mail in addition.

Q: What do I need for archiving of ASPECT 3000 files ?

A: It is necessary to have an installation of  Bruker's WINNMR 2.6 on the PC. No

     Licence is required.

Q: How can I transfer NMR data from a UNIX computer to the PC for archiving

            with NMRArchive.

A: One can install freeware Samba on the UNIX system export of the desired folder

     (f.e. /u/data) and map it on the windows side. The other possibility is mapping the

     UNIX drives using NFS on the PC side.
